Drinkclusion

Drinkclusion is a three-tiered initiative from LCBO, Drinks Ontario, and Vinequity. The programme offers a scholarship for underrepresented applicants to beverage alcohol schools, a career builder complete with mentorship, and member resources for Drinks Ontario Members to improve their DE&I offerings.

Local Artist Series

Jackson-Triggs is partnering with a number of local musical artists to combine wine with BIPOC empowerment. The Local Artist Series promotes a half dozen local Canadian artists from underrepresented backgrounds. The goal is to introduce the music of these talented creators to Jackson-Triggs’s wine consumers.

Employee Resource Groups

E& J Gallo employees have access to seven Employee Resource Groups: LA CASA, GAAN, WOWS, enABLE, ASIA, LGBTQ+, and GVO. These groups operate both as affinity groups for employees to network with peers who face similar obstacles and vehicles for underrepresented groups of employees to have their voices heard.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Framework

In 2021, Winegrowers Canada released a new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion framework that, as it reaches wine producers nationwide, will help promote DE&I throughout the industry. In addition to guidelines for companies, the framework establishes a permanent DE&I advisory committee.

Every year, Molson Coors hosts a month of inclusivity training, initiatives, keynote speakers, and frank conversations in October. The Spirit of Inclusion Initiative by LCBO

LCBO’s Spirit of Inclusion Initiative is a programme designed to create opportunities for diverse women to enter, advance and thrive in the beverage alcohol industry. Through the programme, LCBO and its partners provide bursaries and scholarships, facilitate mentorship relationships, and identify paid co-op placements for diverse women who are looking to begin or advance their careers in the winery, brewery, and distillery fields.
