Bennett Caplan serves as the Head of Secretariat of FIVS and as the Director of FIVS-Abridge since 2003. He works as an attorney and a government affairs specialist on public policy and regulatory matters, primarily in the alcohol beverage area. Bennett Caplan was previously Senior Director of International and Government Affairs at Allied Domecq, Director of Policy Development at Seagram, and a partner at McDermott, Will & Emery. He has served as President of the Washington Foreign Law Society, as Vice President of the Washington Fletcher Alumni Association, and is a board member of the International Wine Law Association. He has taught graduate level courses on international trade policy at the University of Maryland and Syracuse University. He is a graduate of Columbia College, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and Boston College Law School.

Laura Gelezuinas is the Manager of FIVS. She is responsible for the Scientific and Technical Committee and the Environmental Sustainability Working Group. She has extensive expertise in international affairs and diplomacy, having previously worked at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as Associate Programme Specialist. Laura Gelezuinas has a Master’s Degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s in Political Science and Government from the London School of Economics.

Clea Prieto Perosanz serves as the Secretariat Executive of FIVS. She is responsible for the Social Sustainability and the Economic Sustainability Working Groups. Clea Prieto Perosanz has extensive experience in digital communications, having worked for private companies and public institutions in this area. She has a Degree in Law and Journalism from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Civil Procedural Law from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia.
