Why Join FIVS?
FIVS helps solve problems before they are created.
FIVS protects and promotes the global wine trade through expanded market access, reduced regulatory cost exposure and early visibility on international rules and standards before they become business issues. We enable our members to thrive with foresight and clarity.
FIVS Delivers:
- Market access support — removing barriers to trade or heading them off before they are formed.
- Reduced cost-base and compliance workload through shared monitoring.
- Reduced regulatory friction through support in navigating regulatory and compliance hurdles.
- Early identification of global policy & regulatory risks that help you make better planning decisions and lower reaction costs. Helps you focus resources where the risk and opportunity are greatest.
A Unique Global Standing
FIVS is the only global wine-sector organisation with a unique focus on wine, an internationally traded product.
FIVS is the only alcohol-sector organisation with direct Observer status at Codex Alimentarius, Observer status at the Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin (OIV) and Observer status at the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) where many future national wine rules originate.
In fact, FIVS is the only alcohol body with Official Observer status at Codex.
FIVS brings together expertise from across the global wine community to inform impactful advocacy.
Making a Difference to Your Bottom-Line
Proactive advocacy on global policy affecting wine: helping inform international laws, rules and standards in a unified way to minimise the number of divergent requirements to manage.
Intelligence and analysis: Turning global regulatory developments into actionable business intelligence, and synthesising them into analysis, guidance, global policy messages, and practical tools for use by members, with governments and others.
Our global wine community network: That reaches into international wine trade, compliance and business-related expertise.
