Benzoic Acid

Benzoic acid (or Benzenecarbonic acid) prevents fermentation of sugar in wine being accumulated as distilling material. It is also used as a preservative in “Cooler”-type products. Benzoic acid is permitted for use in grape wine in multiple countries worldwide.
