Life Education Trust

An initiative for preschool, primary and intermediate school children in New Zealand. It seeks to provide knowledge and skills to make healthy decisions and focuses on self-esteem, social relationships, body systems, food and nutrition and substances (including alcohol). The initiative implements workbook, brochures, videos, models and puppets in mobile classrooms that travel the country.

School Health and Alcohol Harm Reduction Project Education Program

A strategy of promoting responsible consumption by providing three phases of alcohol harm reduction lessons during secondary school. It aims to reduce the level of alcohol related harms in students who consume alcohol beverages and to reduce the risks to students who do not consume alcohol beverages but interact with others who do.

Project Northland

Three progressive programmes for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 that provide a forum for students and their families to discuss alcohol-related issues; The curricula uses a variety of educational strategies including group discussions, role plays, peer-led activities, class games, problem solving, videotapes, audiotapes and small group projects; The focus is to delay the age at which students begin consuming alcohol beverages.

Vivamos Responsablemente (Let’s live responsibly)

Vivamos Responsablemente is an education programme that promotes healthy habits and responsible drinking among young people. Since 2011, 2,260 lectures have been organised with the participation of 48,237 students from 1,461 Argentinian schools. The seminars last approximately one hour and include a video and a subsequent debate.
